With the “Science_Link Nockberge” cooperation, the biosphere reserve management has built a bridge to the Alpen-Adria-University in Klagenfurt, the Carinthia University of Applied Sciences and the Carinthia University of Teacher Education. Scientists and students use the biosphere reserve as a research space and contribute directly to regional knowledge transfer.
In addition, a research exchange offers topics for diploma, master’s and doctoral theses. The resulting theses – and those which deal thematically with the biosphere reserve – are made available online in the “NockoThek” literature database. This means that anyone interested can find out about the special features of this unique habitat free of charge.
